An experienced photographer - having worked in many spheres
over a 20 year period from social - advertising photography.
Experience includes traditional SLR cameras as well as digital, plus digital
photo retouching/restoration.
Areas mainly covered are portraiture, weddings, social, beauty,
floral, and still-life/jewellery.
I started working freelance in photography after completing
a City & Guilds qualification in Photography in 1991.
Using Nikon SLR cameras I began taking Portrait, Portfolio and Wedding Photography.
During this time I also decided to qualify in make-up artistry, as an additional
wedding / beauty service.
I also undertook still-life work, then the digital side became more popular
so invested in computer equipment
and started the digital retouching and restoration. Subsequently investing
in a couple of digital cameras.
My style of photography is taking a mixture of informal and
more traditional 'posed' images (e.g group shots, signing of register).
Trying to ensure you have a record of your wedding, yet no more intrusive
that it has to be.
With portrait photography, I can undertake more contemporary
styles as well as the more traditional.
Being posed is not everyone's ideal, so I like you to feel relaxed so that
the essence of you is captured.
My qualifications also include IHBC diplomas in Photographic and Media &
Theatrical Makeup.
I am a qualified Vocational Assessor
An Associate Member of the Institute for Learning.
Have the PTLLS teaching qualification in Lifelong Learning.
Also teach jewellery making and jewellery photography workshops,
plus making bespoke fine silver jewellery.
